Kindergarten Preschool Special Education Specialty Areas Support Staff

Our Preschool program is designed to prepare the children of Haywood County for Kindergarten.  Our lessons are prepared according to developmentally appropriate practice and are designed to be "hands-on" and child directed.   Our goal is to eventually be able to serve every child in Haywood County.

A vital component of our program is our parent involvement commitment.  In order for children to be in our program, we require 2 hours of "parenting" each month.  These hours must be completed by a primary caregiver and can be accumulated in a variety of ways, including:

Attending Parent Meetings once a month

Using the computer at the Family Resource Center with their child

Volunteering in our classrooms
